Are men’s pants uncomfortable for baby boomer men?

To me, men’s pants look comfortable. With wide legs and pleats at the waist, they appear to offer more comfort than many of the designs women squeeze into.

I received an e-mail this week about Veggies, pants made out of organic cotton that have a drawstring on the inside of the waist.

The website says Veggies have a roomy cut and deep pockets.

Mark Rosal says he developed the pants after 30 years of experience wearing drawstring pants.

Rosal wore a pair in the fall of 1977 when he took an eight-month trek through Mexico and Guatemala. They were so comfortable he had drawstring pants made for him throughout the years.

In 2005, after years of teasing, he decided to begin marketing drawstring pants because looser, baggier pants were a more acceptable style.
